Upon joining Diamond Residential Mortgage, Kris took the reins on specialty products and has spent the years since expanding the suite: ITIN mortgages, bank statement products, and the newest niches opening up for borrowers who need alternative income documentation. His job, as he defines it, is to see around corners — to find the next gap in the market before the borrower hits a wall.

His philosophy toward Non-QM is simple: it should be a first option, not a fallback. When loan officers treat Non-QM as the product you try after conventional fails, you build the wrong culture around it. Kris has built the opposite — an internal model at DRMC where weekly education keeps the product front of mind, and complex deals are treated as the team’s specialty, not its exception. The result is a lending operation that can confidently serve the self-employed borrower, the real estate investor, the gig worker, and the borrower whose income doesn’t fit a W-2.
